Short Biography

Schooled in mostly in Manchester, I attended Imperial College London as an undergraduate reading for an integrated MSci in Chemistry. While there, I spent a year in the NanoHAC research group led by Prof. Milo Shaffer, completing a masters project entitled ‘An Investigation into the Carbon Nanotubide Initiated Grafting of Vinyl Monomers’. Following this, I have maintained my interest in nano-science and am working towards a DPhil in the area within the NbD group.

Research Summary

All research work is prone ‘academic drift’ as we follow new interesting leads as the research develops. However, I am currently working towards understanding the chemical modification of Boron Nitride nanomaterials for their use as fillers within composites with thermal and mechanical applications.
