Part II student, Corpus Christi College

Currently a 4th year Materials Science undergraduate, I am working on the synthesis and characterisation of metal nanoparticles for my Part II (Masters) thesis. The project focuses on creating and controling the synthesis of novel metal nanoparticles by understanding how different reaction parameters affect the formation of the nanoparticles. Metal nanoparticles have potential applications in catalysis.

Previously, I did a modelling project at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS), Ruhr University Bochum, Germany during Summer 2013. The project used Python codes to perform calculations to find out the lowest energy set up at the grain boundary between two grains in BCC Fe.
